Cadenza – Bess Jacques & The Strays

Bess Jacques & The Strays draw on a mix of vintage Americana, including beloved jazz standards from the American Songbook along with more modern, R&B-inspired tunes and Americana. The trio’s musical offerings range from hard-swinging to honky-tonk, Louis Armstrong to Fats Domino and Tom Waits, and include beautiful originals, for a mix of sounds that is both classic and fresh. Bess Jacques leads the band on vocals and piano, joined by local blues-icon Per Hanson on drums and harmonica, and Tracy McMullen on saxophone.
