Cadenza – In Flight: Gabe Terracciano

“Adventurous, but always melodic…Terracciano plays with Joe Venuti’s grace and Zbigniew Seifert’s swagger.” – Ian Patterson, All About Jazz

“Terracciano shows off…jaunty Bob Wills-style western swing, airy Stephane Grappelli-esque phrasing, lots of sabretoothed Romany riffs, and stark blues as well.” – New York Music Daily

Originally from Portland, Maine, Gabriel Terracciano is an award-winning violinist and composer currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. Classically trained from a young age, Gabe has spent his career focusing on playing the violin in a variety of non-classical genres, including jazz, bluegrass, western swing, rock, and hip hop, among others. After finishing his undergraduate studies in Boston at Tufts University and the New England Conservatory in 2016, he moved to New York City, where he completed his master’s degree in jazz studies at NYU.

His first album of original music, In Flight, will be officially released on January 31, 2020, and will be available through Red Piano Records. This recording is Terracciano’s debut as a leader, and includes an all-star band of musicians playing his original compositions. The compositions on this album display how many different styles of music can coexist in the same space, especially when brought together by superb players, a willingness to collaborate, and a dedication to the craft of what it means to be a musician.

Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
