DESCRIPTION:Freeport Community Library welcomes back the art of Freeport High School students every April\, and each year is a delight. The Library will be filled with approximately 100 student workds that fall into one of four categories: painting/drawing\, design\, photography\, and 3D design. The exhibit will include the works of 9th through 12th grade students from a variety of studio art courses. The juried April RSU5 exhibit is sponsored annually by the Freeport Woman’s Club\, and they and library staff would like to thank art teacher Kim Medsker-Mehalic for her continued dedication to highlighting the expansive talent of local youth. We’ll have something different in store for you every day between 11-1\, downstairs in our Creativity Lab.\nOn Friday we will be decorating smooth stones with paint and paint markers. You’ll be able to take your beautified rocks home to place in your garden or to leave for someone to discover on a trail or in a park!\nOur elevator is sadly still out of order\, as the parts needed had to be custom made for our vintage machine—we hear they’re coming in May!
