DESCRIPTION:Liz Prescott (acrylics)\, Björn Runquist (oils)\, Margaret Creighton (mixed media)\, Molly Mugler (watercolors\, acrylics and mixed media)\, Art Schaefer (oils) and Karin Strong (oils) will feature their interpretations of our beautiful state. They all live in coastal Maine but have painted together in such wide-ranging areas as northern New Mexico\, North Haven and Monhegan Islands and have often expressed a desire to show together. \n“Capturing Light” brings together six distinguished artists who work in a range of media\, united by their fascination with the interplay of light and landscape along Maine’s storied coastline. From luminous oil paintings to expressive watercolors and mixed media\, the exhibition celebrates the ever-changing moods and colors that define the region’s natural beauty. \nThe show runs November 7 – November 16.
