DESCRIPTION:Join us for a quintessential Maine event\, a church festival complete with music\, ​arts and crafts\, kid’s events\, and food! All on the grounds of a beautiful 19th century New England Church in the seaside village of South Freeport – just outside the bustling tourist area of Freeport\, Maine. \nFriday\, August 1\nThe festivities begin Friday evening with a traditional Downeast Steamed Lobster or Honey Dijon Grilled Chicken Suppah. Both dinners include salt potatoes\, coleslaw\, corn on the cob\, and lemon cornmeal cake with wild Maine blueberry sauce. Suppah is served outdoors\, under the tent from 5:30-7:00 pm with live music by Jay Staples – by reservation.\n​Reservations close July 29th. In case of rain…the suppah and music will be inside the Community Hall. \nSaturday\, August 2\nFree family fun for all ages!\n9 am to 3 pm\nIn the Community Hall:\nFine Arts and Crafts by local artisans for purchase including:\nwatercolor and acrylic painting\, pottery\, wood and slate crafts\, jewelry\, home décor\,\nelves and fairies\, seaside-inspired items\, crocheted stuffed animals\,\n​notecards\, journals\, hand-crafted doll clothes\, bow ties for pets\,\nfelt flower bouquets and more!\nIn the Kids’ Zone:\nDunk Tank\, Giant Bubbles\, Face Painting\, Fish for a Prize\, Roller Ball\, and more.\nOn the Outdoor Stage:\n9:00 am Shaina’s Strings Concert\n10:00 am Sparks Ark\n11:00 Yarmouth Clipper Combo Jazz Performance\n12:00 pm Hula Hoop on the Lawn\n1:00 Open Mic/Talent Show\nAvailable for Purchase: Baked Goods\, Wild Blueberries\, Tag Sale ($1 and $5 tables)\nFor Saturday Lunch:\n11:30 am to 1:00 pm\nGrilled hamburgers\, black bean burgers\, and hot dogs\,\nfresh squeezed lemonade will all be available for purchase.\n​ \nSunday\, August 3\nFREE Blueberry Pancake Breakfast from 8 – 9:30 AM\n​Outdoor Worship Service including special music under the tent at 9:30 AM \nWe are thankful for Wyman’s of Maine and Blue Hill Berry Co. for providing blueberries\n​for the festival this year! \nSouth Freeport Congregational Church\, UCC\n95 South Freeport Rd\,\nSouth Freeport\, ME 04078\n(207) 865-4012
