L.L.Bean – Bat & Owl Prowl at Mast Landing Sanctuary
Join us for a special evening with Maine Audubon staff naturalist Doug Hitchcox. We will explore Maine Audubon’s 140-acre sanctuary to look and listen for bats, barred owls, ovenbirds, hermit thrush and more. We’ll be using Wildlife Acoustics’ Echo Meter Touch bat detector to find bats that might not otherwise be identified.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate. WHERE TO MEET: The trail kiosk beside the parking lot, 65 Upper Mast Landing Rd, Freeport, ME 04032.
