The Maine Organic Marketplace – Repair Jam: Intro To Visible Mending

Visual mending is the art of repairing your ripped or torn clothing and adding stitches, not cover up the damage, but to make the garment more beautiful in the process.
In this two hour workshop and circle, we will learn basic hand sewing techniques and practice together. After, each person is invited to work on the garment they’ve brought to repair, with support from the instructor, Maggie Haaland. As this is a repair jam, local jam and gluten free sourdough will be available. Join us for an evening of mending and moving slow in community!
