Makers on Main
Join us on Main Street in Freeport on the first Saturday of each month from May through September for Makers on Main. We’ve invited some of our favorite New England Makers to pop-up along Main Street to offer a delightful array of artwork and crafts for sale. New for 2021, some of our local oyster farmers will be joining us each month to celebrate this tasty and environmentally critical bivalve!
Enjoy browsing for just the right piece to add to your collection, plus sample all the fun of a day in Freeport!
There’s plenty of elbow room & fresh air. To keep everyone safe, masks are required for all shoppers and exhibitors.
Each week we will post a printable guide listing all the participating makers, their locations and a web address just in case you need to follow-up with them. We’ll also include some handy tips on other things happening around Freeport each weekend. Below are some samples from last fall.

Makers on Main vendors are all required follow operating guidance from the State of Maine for the retail or restaurant industry. Booths will be spaced a minimum of ten feet apart and exhibitors are encouraged to set up their displays in a U shape to ensure maximum distance between shoppers and makers. In addition, all vendors will have hand sanitizer available.
We’re asking guests to help keep everyone safe & healthy too. Please stay home if you are sick, limit touching items you have not yet purchased, follow one-way paths indicated by signage, and wait your turn to shop with the makers. Please, one shopper or family group per booth at a time!
Additionally, many of our brick & mortar stores are moving to contactless payment, most makers prefer it as well. Be prepared that some might not accept cash.
Masks are required of both makers and shoppers. Complimentary masks are available at the Visit Freeport Information Center at 115 Main Street.
Please note that as State and Federal Guidelines change, these policies may be relaxed or enhanced.
