I meticulously select live-edge slabs from small, independent sawyers across New England, focusing on the character and beauty of each wood species. My passion lies in highlighting the natural grain, shape, and texture, turning irregularities into stunning focal points. With hours dedicated to sanding and finishing, I create statement pieces that not only captivate the eye but also elicit a tactile response ... hands are drawn to the smooth surfaces. I truly enjoy revealing the art in the wood.
In my metal art collection, engineering meets artistry! My work is a playful exploration of "fun with chemicals and tools," starting with large sheets of metal that are laser cut into different shapes. I use a variety of chemicals to create unique and unpredictable patterns.
