It’s easy to get here! Freeport is perfectly located where Greater Portland meets Midcoast Maine. We’re only 20 minutes north of Portland, and a two-hour drive north from Boston, Massachusetts. We offer easy access to sandy beaches, and quintessential rocky coast.
Driving Directions
- From South – Take I-95 to the Maine Turnpike, Exit 52. Follow the signs to I-295 North and take Exit 17, 20 or 22 for Freeport. All of these exits lead directly to US Route 1, which is our Main Street.
- From North – Take I-95S to Exit 103 to I-295S. Follow I-295 and take Exit 22, 20 or 17. All of these exits lead directly to US Route 1, which is our Main Street.

Train
Leave your own car at home and take the convenient Amtrak Downeaster train. The Amtrak Downeaster makes daily stops right in downtown Freeport, steps away from the best shopping in New England!
Plane
If you are coming from further away, flying into the Portland Jetport is an easy way to travel.
Bus
METRO BREEZ express service between Portland, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Freeport, and Brunswick features ten daily round trips (M-F), and five on Saturday with limited stops for a convenient, comfortable commute.
