Glass Mermaid Studio – Stencils and Fused Glass

In this class, students will explore the art of fused glass using stencils to create unique and vibrant designs. These designs can be cut up later for adding to other projects or use stencils to replicate a create a set of something (tiles, dishes, etc.)Participants will learn basic techniques for cutting, arranging, and layering glass, as well as how to use stencils and powders to add texture and intricate patterns. You will make a set of coasters, and two 5″ x 7″glass pieces. We will have stencils for students to use, but feel free to bring your own to try(remember the glass for class is not full sheet sized- so stencils should have an all over pattern or be smaller in scope) Projects will be ready to take home later in the week.
