Meetinghouse Arts – Portrait & Figure Painting Workshop with Philip Frey

Join artist Philip Frey for a portrait and figure painting workshop that aims to work in the fertile and playful ground between representation and abstraction. In this workshop, we will focus on creating accurate, yet expressive renderings of the figure within an interior setting. The instructor will give short demonstrations balanced with time to paint, as well as one-on-one instruction. Each day will consist of short poses for gesture drawings and longer poses for painting. All levels are welcome but one should have good drawing skills and some painting experience. Oil, acrylic, watercolor and dry media are accepted. Philip will be painting in oil.
