Beech Street Pottery features small batch, wheel-thrown ceramics handcrafted locally in Medford, MA. I have been working with clay for 18 years and over the last decade I have drawn inspiration from my love of nature and outdoor adventure to refine a style that strives to capture the joy I feel when I’m exploring. This decorative yet functional art utilizes a unique surface design glaze technique and detailed carving to depict a variety of scenes inspired by travels near and far, with a special focus on national parks and the beauty of the natural world. For local and in person events, I like to focus on designs and scenes inspired by the area - rocky coastline, lighthouses and sailboats, sand dunes with sea grass, mountain retreats and birch trees, and during the fall time in particular I include a variety of vibrant fall foliage designs, decorative gourds, and other seasonal treats. My work ranges from mugs and bowls to planters, pitchers and platters, table lamps and pendant lamps, smaller kitchen accessories and lidded travel mugs to fuel every outdoor adventure. All of my work is handmade, one of a kind, and sure to brighten up those Monday mornings!
