My name is Patricia. I am applying to participate in the craft show as the maker behind Ideal Creations Store, a handmade business based in Maine. My work focuses on personalized metalwork created using traditional hand techniques, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, customization, and meaningful design.
I specialize in personalized hand-stamped jewelry, creating each piece individually for each client using traditional metalworking methods. My primary technique is hand-stamping, a process in which each letter or symbol is struck into the metal by hand using steel punches and a hammer, resulting in subtle variations that make every piece unique. I also incorporate wire-wrapping and soldering techniques into select designs to complement the hand-stamped elements.
For this event, I will be offering a curated selection of hand stamped necklaces, inspirational bracelets, rings, earrings, and hand-stamped spoons. I will also offer personalized keychains and wire-wrapped earrings, all made using consistent materials and techniques.
I work with a variety of metals, including sterling silver, gold-filled, stainless steel, brass, copper, and aluminum. Because the hand-stamping process is entirely manual, from cutting, filing, stamping, forming and polishing, each piece reflects the individuality of both the maker and the client.
During the fair, I will be demonstrating the hand-stamping process live and accepting custom orders on site, allowing visitors to see how a personalized piece is created and to better understand the skill and time involved in handmade metalwork.
In addition to my jewelry, my booth will include a small family-run element. As a mother and a homeschool teacher of 5 children, I enjoy teaching my children entrepreneurship and sustainable practices. Together, we will be offering reusable beeswax food wraps, made by measuring, cutting, and coating cotton fabric with pure beeswax as a reusable alternative to plastic food wrap.
