Frankie’s Mercantile creates handmade bag charms, keychains, and small accessories inspired by coastal New England. Each piece is originally designed and fully crafted by me using techniques such as paracord knotting, knitted i-cord, wire forming, and beadwork.
Many charms incorporate small sculptural elements created through multi-step hand processes. For example, pretzel charms are formed by knitting an i-cord, threading it on wire and shaping it by hand, then finishing with individually sewn bead “salt” details. Paracord and nautical rope bag charms are hand-knotted and assembled with hardware to create durable, functional accessories for bags and keys. On-site, customers can personalize paracord charms with a selection of metal charms.
Acrylic bag charms and motel keychains are digitally designed by me, with acrylic bag charms cut on a laser and motel keychains made with the design printed on UV DTF film, then hand-finished and assembled by me with hardware and, in some cases, hand-knotted paracord. Each piece is individually completed, ensuring that these items are artist-created, one-of-a-kind accessories, similar to the care taken with my t-shirts and tote bags.
All designs are produced in small batches by me, ensuring each piece is a unique, handmade accessory that reflects a casual New England aesthetic.
