Freeport Community Library – 2026 Adult Summer Reading

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until June 30, 2026
Freeport Community Library’s popular Adult Summer Reading Program returns for 2026, running from June 1 through August 31. Community members are invited to read and participate all summer long, earning entries into end-of-summer prize drawings.
Participants can pick up a gameboard at the library and earn entries into prize drawings for every book they read. Additional bonus entries can be earned by reading this year’s Read ME selections, sharing book recommendations, or completing Bingo rows on the gameboard.
Prizes include gift baskets, movie tickets, and gift cards to Freeport-area shops, restaurants, and breweries. It’s a great way to discover new books, connect with the community, and support local businesses.
