Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop – HandiQuilter Longarm Services

Michelle will longarm your quilt for you! Here are the guidelines:
— You can bring your quilt to the shop anytime we’re open, and we’ll help you choose thread color and design. No appointment needed.
— Please keep the 3 layers separate (no pinning or basting necessary: yay!).
— Need batting or backing? We’ve got you covered (hopefully soon with your newly longarmed quilt!). We sell Quilter’s Dream cotton batting in packages (sized Craft up to King), and we often have packages of wool batting. For your backing, there are a few bolts of 108″ wide fabric plus tons of bolts of 44″ wide to piece.
— Speaking of batting and backing, both the batting and backing need to be 5″ bigger than the top all the way around, on all sides! For example, if your quilt top measures 30″ x 30″, then the batting and backing should be at least 40″ x 40″.
— Michelle does edge-to-edge quilting only. She can do a simple meander, or you can choose from our many pantographs– we even have a ProStitcher!
— The price is an average of $0.02 per square inch plus thread cost (2 cents per square inch: if your quilt is 60″ x 60″, then 60 x 60 = 3600, 3600 x 0.02 = $72.00). There is a minimum quilting charge of $50.
