Bradbury Mountain State Park – Granite and Glaciers

Explore the geologic history of the Bradbury Mountain State Park area with Park Ranger/Maine Master Naturalist Jeff Pengal. On this less than 2 mile walk, Jeff will point out and explain the geology we encounter of the past 450 million years–magma chambers, glaciers, mineral mining, and more! Walk is geared toward teens and adults, and lasts about 90 minutes. Meet at the picnic shelter and wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Cameras are welcome; please be courteous of people who do not want to be in photos. Program is free with day-use entry and to those camping at the park. *Weather notice: May be cancelled due to continuous precipitation or lightning in the area.
