Cadenza – Alex Minasian

Alex Minasian is a jazz pianist. Alex has had the pleasure of being the pianist and musical director for two iconic, legendary jazz vocalists, Little Jimmy Scott and Mark Murphy, as well as touring with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’, Little Anthony and The Imperials. I wanted to send an email and introduce myself. Alex has performed at some of the hippest jazz venues across the US –Dizzy’s, The Blue Note in NYC, Yoshi’s in San Francisco, and the House of Blues in Hollywood to name a few.
Alex also has performed with artists from all kinds of genres, such as James Ingram, The Roots, Arturo Sandoval, Sam Moore, Marilyn McCoo, and most recently leading the Billy Vera Big Band. Alex recently put together a trio of his own with the amazing bassist Brandi Disterheft (she’s recorded with the likes of Hank Jones and Renee Rosnes) and with Steve Williams (Shirley Horn).
