Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop – Slow-Stitch Overnight Retreat at the James Place Inn

An overnight retreat that’s all about hand sewing! Come to the James Place Inn in Freeport (just 2 blocks from our shop!) for 2 days of stitching fun. We’ll have demos, workshops, and time to stitch your own projects.
Topics may include: hand embroidery, wool applique, hand piecing, hand quilting, punchneedle, English paper piecing, maybe more! Bring any hand stitching project you’re working on for free-stitch time!
Arrival time at the James Place Inn is at 10am on Saturday. We will provide lunch, then more stitching! Dinner is on your own in Freeport, then more stitching! Sunday breakfast is lovingly made by Bill and Mary Ann Hinko at the James Place Inn, then more stitching! Departure time on Sunday is 2pm.

2. Call the James Place Inn at (207) 865-4486 to reserve your room. Rate is based on double occupancy (find a roommate if you can!): special rate of $165 per room (plus lodging tax). (They’ve blocked off the rooms for us, so you can’t book online.)
This is our 2nd slow-stitch retreat, and we had a blast the first time. The James Place Inn is a gorgeous bed and breakfast within minutes of downtown Freeport. The best part: what happens at Slow-Stitch stays at Slow-Stitch!
