Freeport Community Library – Armchair Travel Series: Southeast Asia

Leave your passports at home (but pack your curiosity)! Join Freeport resident Suanne Williams-Lindgren in our community Meeting Room on Tuesday, April 16 at 2:00-3:00pm as she shares her recent trip to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Come see beautiful Buddhist temples, ruins, and UNESCO sites; learn how many of the locals live, as well as some of the darker aspects of these countries’ histories, including the Khmer Rouge radical communist movement and the Vietnam War. Light refreshments will be provided.
This program is part of our Armchair Travel series, where neighbors take us on grand photography tours of their travels in distant lands. Free and open to the public; please call 207-865-3307 for questions or directions.
