Freeport Community Library – Genealogy Hour

January 6 @ 12:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 12:30 pm on Saturday, repeating until March 30, 2024

Genealogy Hour is a weekly opportunity to get free assistance with your family history questions in Freeport Community Library’s Bartol Room.Anybody can stop by and participate; no appointments necessary!

Andrew will be happy to help you navigate online resources like Ancestry.com, scour the family history materials available in our collection, or help you identify where else you might be able to track down your ancestor’s information. Whether you are brand new to genealogical research or a seasoned genealogist, all are welcome to bring in their questions.

You are encouraged to make the most of your visit by arriving with some basic information about your ancestors. Having even vague or approximated details about the dates and locations of their birth, marriage, and death or the names of their parents, siblings, or children will generate more accurate results during our searches.

This recurring event is free and open to the public. We occasionally need to cancel individual sessions, so please see our online Calendar of Events or call ahead to check for cancellations! For questions or directions to the library, please visit freeportlibrary.com or call (207) 865-3307.
