Freeport Community Services – Freeport Emergency Preparedness Neighborhood Hubs Planning Session
February 25 @ 6:30 pm
The phrase climate resilience means more than just protecting and building infrastructure. It means creating neighborhood networks called hubs to help neighbors care for each other before and during storms. In January, FreeportCAN and Freeport Community Services presented this idea to a town-wide, well attended meeting which resulted in new ideas and agreement that we should work together to prepare for emergencies.
Wednesday, February 25th we will meet again at Freeport Community Services, Bradley Room. The meeting is open to all: we need your ideas, your energy, your skills and your care. Bring a neighbor or two and help us get started in your neighborhood. Disaster Training Opportunities will be presented by Brittany O’Neil from Cumberland County Emergency Management.
