Freeport Community Services – Freeze Out

Freeze Out, our boisterous annual fundraiser where volunteers stand outside in whatever the weather to collect donations for essential services, is celebrating its 20th anniversary! Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for our many Food Programs given the rising need we are seeing for such assistance in Freeport and Pownal. These funds would support FCS’ food programs such as Food Pantry, Back Pack and Summer Food program for students, and Community Free Lunch Fridays twice monthly.
FCS has provided essential services to our neighbors in Freeport and Pownal since 1974. In fiscal year 2023, we helped more than 350 individuals monthly in our Food Pantry, over 60 children received weekend food during the school year and 150 children received weekly food during the summer months.
Our services would not be possible without community support.
