Freeport Women’s Club – Weather 101 with Charlie Lopresti

Freeport Woman’s Club is excited to welcome Charlie Lopresti, Chief Meteorologist CBS 13 as our May Guest Speaker!
You’ve heard the phrase: “if you don’t like the weather in Maine, wait a minute!” Well, exactly how does a meteorologist deal with Maine’s ever-changing conditions?!

Charlie will chat about:
• Daily and long-term weather forecasting challenges, vital to our safety
• Climate change – How it affects our weather patterns and health of our planet
• Memorable storms in southern Maine
• What the future holds with AI and meterology
• Trivia- giant pumpkin growing!
We expect this event to reach room capacity, so it’s imperative that you RSVP “going“! Preference will be given to our club members and attendee names will be checked against the RSVP list.
Usually, our guest speaker presentation starts at 1:30pm, but due to Charlie’s TV News schedule, he will start promptly at 1pm, so please arrive a few minutes early.
Followed by lively conversations and refreshments.
