Our Sporting Clays Discovery Course is a fun and safe place to shoot your first shotgun. Learn the fundamentals of sport shooting and experience the thrill of hitting clay targets.

Exhilarating and fun, sporting clays isn’t just for hunters. Our starter course is perfect for the beginning shooter and individuals who have never shot a shotgun before. After introductions and a safety talk, followed by some basic pointers on shooting clay targets with shotguns, you’ll participate in a brief exercise to determine eye dominance. Then you’ll learn the correct stance to properly shoot a shotgun and how to effectively hit a target. You’ll have an opportunity to practice with an expert instructor by your side, who’ll offer feedback and tips as you shoot clay targets.

All necessary shooting equipment is provided. $29.95 per person

L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. If L.L.Bean cancels your event, you will receive a full refund for the cost of your reservation.
