Meetinghouse Arts & Freeport Community Library – Photo & Writing Workshops

Our Town: A Community Self Portrait welcomes ALL residents, regardless of experience, to photograph and write about the people, places and activities that exemplify what is meaningful and distinctive about Freeport. If you already have a journal and camera to use, or have a phone that takes hi-resolution photos, that’s great! If not, we’ll have camera kits available for use starting May 25th. To help you get started, we’re offering three photo and writing workshops at the Freeport Community Library. No RSVP is required:

Evening workshop, led by photographer Sharyn Peavey and writer Jefferson Navicky.
Thursday, May 16th @ 6:00 PM
Evening workshop, led by poet Sasha Goodwin and photographer Jack Montgomery.
Saturday, May 18th @ 9:00 AM
Morning and final workshop, led by writer Caitlin Shetterly and photographer Dan Davis.
These interactive workshops will focus on various aspects of portraiture— conceptual, technical and historical—and are open to ALL skill levels. We hope you’ll join us for these creative community workshops.
