Meetinghouse Arts – Ladies of Flame

The Ladies of Flame first gathered in 2010 to perform a program of torch songs benefitting the Freeport Community Center’s “Burn the Mortgage” fund. After subsequent concerts in 2012, 2018 and 2020, the Ladies are back, with two new members and two special guests. Led by music director and accompanist Jane Bradley, the 2024 Ladies of Flame singers are Sarah Tracy, Lisa Bossi, Elizabeth Guffey, Meg Albright, Ellen Ebert, Lenore DiFiore and Katrina Crowell. They are happy to introduce special guests Gali Hodgkin and Ella Tracy.
This year’s performance will showcase songs written by or popularized by women, with powerful solos and group arrangements rich in harmony. Numbers include Boomer favorites through current hits, and an original song by Bradley.
