Linda Mahoney creates color woodblock prints using the Moku Hanga technique (Japanese watercolor woodblock print.) She paints plein air watercolors at various Downeast Maine locations as studies for her prints. She cuts several woodblock for each print, usually one for each color, and prints them by hand with a baren, the lighter blocks first and progresses to the darkest color. Colors are lightfast and the papers and framing materials art archival. Prints are available framed and unframed.
