Sam Lawrence, a native of Yarmouth, Maine started working in glass in 2002 while still in high school. After seeing a show of glass art in western Massachusetts and a glassblowing demonstration in Murano, Italy, Sam knew he wanted to be a glass artist. While taking several classes in various glass art techniques over the years, Sam is mostly self-taught. Working at a torch Sam makes a variety of unique glass ornaments, pendants, paperweights and vessels. He also makes fused glass plates and platters of various sizes.
