I make pine needle baskets using a variety of items for centers. The oysters are from the New Meadows river in Harpswell. The baskets are sewn with artificial sinew or wax coated thread used over pine needles. Some of the pine needles have been dyed to create various colours. I try to use a variety of stitches in making the baskets. Baskets can vary in size from 2” to 8”
