I have been doing scrimshaw professionally since 1974 and had a shop, The Scrimshaw Workshop for 41 years. All of my scrimshaw is engraved entirely by hand and includes men’s and ladies jewelry, collectible display pieces, pocket knives, desk accessories and more. The main medium for my work is ancient Fossil Walrus and Woolly Mammoth ivory. In my 47 years as a scrimshander I have never sold a single piece of elephant ivory.
