Steve Doe is the founder of Whitten Hill Studio, maker of handcrafted Adirondack style indoor and outdoor furniture. His work has also included garden elements such as arbors, obelisks, and unique birdhouses. In recent years his work has focused on unique cutting boards, charcuterie boards, hand carved bowls, and other smaller functional pieces for the home. The pieces have a raw rustic look but are elegant in style and finish. He obtains all his wood from recycled sources and cuts and mills most of it himself. After air-drying, each piece is then selected for its unique qualities and the piece evolves.
